I wanna share!!!!

Hey gang, I’m working on a few reviews, but I’m in a sharing spirit. So I thought I would share my books! I use a Nook Color eReader (no B&N did not pay me to say that) and they have a “Lendable” option on some books. Turns out, some publishing companies don’t suck and they actually want people to read their books. Anyhoo…. you can go on http://www.barnesandnoble.com, scoll to the very bottom of their page and download their reader for free. It’s available on pc, mac, iPhone and Android devices. I have HUNDREDS of books in my library (I told you I love books) and some of the books that I have reviewed here are available to lend. All you have to do is add me as your friend. Send me a message to writtenmusing@gmail.com with your email address or simply add mine to you nook account friend list and we can start sharing. 🙂

I promise not to spam you or share your email with anyone, my only purpose is to allow you to read some of the books I have in my library for free.

I hope you enjoy the books.

Book Review: Captive in The Dark (The Dark Duet), CJ Roberts

So this is my first official post. I will avoid divulging anything that would ruin the book, but if I must, you will be warned before hand.

This book is the first of two. Some would describe it as a romance, but let us be honest… it’s porn :p (for the record, so is Fifty Shades of Grey). If the word porn offends you, then by all means, fancy it up by calling it Erotica, but your are fooling no one. 😉

The book is about a young woman named Olivia that is kidnapped for the purpose of being sold as a sex slave. Her captor, Caleb, means to train her and sell her off to the man that is responsible for Caleb’s awful childhood. Throughout the book, you follow along as Olivia struggles to make sense of her situation, and her internal struggle when she realizes that she has a bizarre attraction to the man responsible for yanking out of her previous life.

Once you get passed the fact that you are sympathizing with a kidnapper and potential rapist (and trust me, it’s a hard pill to swallow), the book becomes very enjoyable. I should warn you, that if you thought Fifty Shades of Grey was racy, then I wouldn’t recommend this book for you, because the author takes BDSM up a notch). The main character struggles with internal conflicts of emotions, and I believe the author intended for the reader to go through similar struggles because halfway through the book, you find yourself somewhat shocked to find that the scenarios are entertaining you. With all of this being said, I did enjoy reading the book, and found myself anticipating the second one (which I have read already). I was curious to see how the love story ended, and don’t be mistaken, it is a love story, albeit a twisted one.

My review on the final book of The Dark Duet will come shortly

If you have read the books, please leave a comment and tell me what you thought.

PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND DON’T SPOIL THE BOOK FOR OTHERS.

NO SPOILERS
