I wanna share!!!!

Hey gang, I’m working on a few reviews, but I’m in a sharing spirit. So I thought I would share my books! I use a Nook Color eReader (no B&N did not pay me to say that) and they have a “Lendable” option on some books. Turns out, some publishing companies don’t suck and they actually want people to read their books. Anyhoo…. you can go on http://www.barnesandnoble.com, scoll to the very bottom of their page and download their reader for free. It’s available on pc, mac, iPhone and Android devices. I have HUNDREDS of books in my library (I told you I love books) and some of the books that I have reviewed here are available to lend. All you have to do is add me as your friend. Send me a message to writtenmusing@gmail.com with your email address or simply add mine to you nook account friend list and we can start sharing. 🙂

I promise not to spam you or share your email with anyone, my only purpose is to allow you to read some of the books I have in my library for free.

I hope you enjoy the books.

Book Review: Seduced in The Dark (A Dark Duet), CJ Roberts

This is book two of the Dark Duet books. In the first book, you meet the main character, Olivia, and her captor, Caleb. Olivia was kidnapped, by Caleb, with the intention to be sold into the sex slave industry to a very, very bad dude. You go through the emotional roller coster that is Stockholm Syndrome, to find yourself on the other side just as emotionally confused as Olivia is. While she wonders if her feelings for Caleb are genuine, you question yourself for enjoying a book that seems to romanticize kidnapping.

In book two, Olivia’s training gets a kick start. If you’ve read the first book, then you know how the “sex scenes” are;  raw and emotional, all at the same time. There’s no room for vanilla here, folks. If Christian Grey was fifty shades of fucked up, then Caleb is probably 100 shades darker.

In my review for the first book, I didn’t comment on the author’s writing style. Honestly, I wanted to help you get past the whole kidnapping part. 🙂 I hope you made it out ok. 😀  This is how I know CJ Roberts is a good writer: The Books are not jam packed with dialog to fill in the lack of descriptive text. She’s also good at conveying internal emotions, so much so, that you feel them as much as Olivia does. Kudos!!! In Seduced in The Dark, the romance blossoms, and you find yourself rooting for Caleb, and at the same time you want to rip his heart out from his nostrils… Do you get where I’m going with this??? You follow Olivia’s emotional path, and you do so without even realizing it. I would definitely recommend these books, but be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart.

If you have read the books, please leave a comment and tell me what you thought.

PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND DON’T SPOIL THE BOOK FOR OTHERS.

NO SPOILERS

P.S. CJ Roberts is an US Air Force Vet, with 10 years of service. As an Air Force wife, I think she’s awesome and wish her great success (but I’m not biased or anything. 😉   )
